O projektu

We are five schools united across Europe for the same purpose. We want to design and produce entrepreneurship products by combining the club activities we do in our schools with this project. Entrepreneurship is shown as one of the basic skills that every individual should have in the 21st century. Because the society consists of individuals and the society stands on its own feet with the contribution of the individuals.
One of the biggest obstacles to entrepreneurship is the fear of failure. The reason for this is the lack of a sound infrastructure in entrepreneurship and
the lack of necessary training. If we provide our students with the necessary opportunities in entrepreneurship and let them experience the sense of achievement, we can overcome this fear and support them to become successful entrepreneurs in the future. In order to offer this opportunity to our students, we would like to start up a number of club activities in our project as well as entrepreneurship education.

Due to a coronavirus pandemic are activities are postponed. We will hang out with our partners virtually until situation improves.

This is our project logo, it was selected with the most votes by students from all participating countries.

Our students and teachers are involved in forum activities on the Etwinning portal – Twinspace. Everyone introduced themselves.

The first discussion they got involved in was ideas for handcrafts. There were a lot of interesting ideas there.

Our students also presented the works from the technical culture class that they did at school. They made a candlestick. In the lesson of technical culture as part of the lesson Metal joining procedures, our students have an idea and made a candlestick. Before the use of electricity, candles, in addition to torches and oil lamps, were one of the most common means of lighting. Even today, they are used, for example, in a church, house or on various occasions to create a relaxed atmosphere and festive atmosphere. For easier handling, they are usually kept on a stand or candlestick. Candlesticks can be simple, but also real works of art. The candlestick that the students made is very simple, and it is used for small ports, small candles poured into a metal container. The aim of the exercise was to get acquainted with tools and accessories for metal processing such as sheet metal scissors, sandpaper, file, wheel, drawing needle, drill, locksmith squeak and the like, and finally they joined the metal with a detachable joint. The technical creation was made of thinner aluminum sheet and decorated as desired. The exercise was very interesting for the students and they wanted to try working with tools with great enthusiasm, they were especially interested in working with a drill. When making the technical creation, it was important to apply protective equipment and make sure that no one was injured. All students have successfully mastered the exercise and are looking forward to a new one!

Our project coordinator organized a Kahoot quiz where all countries submitted country-specific questions and students were happy to participate in the quiz.

A new discussion has opened on the forum, Arts and crafts. The task of the students is to watch the video then express an opinion on whether there are differences between arts and crafts or not and why.

Students and teachers of the Elementary School "Bogoslav Šulek" hosted the KA2 project "Entrepreneurial child, strong society". The guests were teachers and students from the partner countries of Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia, Poland and Turkey.

Through the association, the project, we want to design and produce entrepreneurial products and implement the activities that we do in our schools. Entrepreneurship is proving to be one of the basic skills that every individual in the 21st century should have. Society is made up of individuals and stands on their own two feet with their contribution. One of the biggest obstacles to entrepreneurship is the fear of failure. The reason for this is the lack of healthy infrastructure in entrepreneurship and the lack of necessary training. If we provide our students with what they need and enable them to experience a sense of accomplishment, we can overcome that fear and support them in becoming successful entrepreneurs in the future.

In order to offer them this opportunity and introduce them to entrepreneurship, we introduced the students with an expert lecture by Ms. Gordana Prebeg on the steps that need to be taken and how every opportunity can be used for success. The task of the students was to make lip and hand balms from natural cosmetics, the logo of the product and finally the advertisement that would place the product on the market.

The students approached each task openly and successfully completed it, with the help of their new friends. The final products were extremely creative and we are, without a doubt, convinced that we have a group of real future entrepreneurs.

In addition to working on assignments, visiting students and teachers had the opportunity to learn something about our city and walk through the streets and squares with an expert guide. Furthermore, Deputy Mayor Marina Martić Puača generously received us and prepared a warm welcome. In addition, we visited the city of Đakovo, the State Stable in Đakovo and the capital city Zagreb, where we got to know our metropolis more closely with a cheerful expert guide.

On the last day, all participants were handed in certificates and our students had a hard time parting from their new friends until the new meeting, that will take place in Northern Macedonia, in March.

Dissemination of project activities

At the session of the Teachers' Council on January 7, teachers Mirna Jurković Pavić and Melita Jagodić presented the project activities within the household that took place in our school of the project "Entrepreneurial child strong society".

Second mobility of the Erasmus+ project Entrepreneurial Child Strong Society took place in North Macedonia on 28th March 2022. Five students of Primary school Bogoslav Šulek - Nika Perković, Lana Gusak, Mia Kučić, Šimun Popić and Tino Sekulić – went to Nort Macedonia accompanied by their teachers Ivana Kaučić and Ljubica Petrović. Other participants were teachers and students from partner countries of Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Poland, and Turkey. The aim of the project was to design and manufacture different entrepreneurial products and take part in activities that are commonly implemented in our schools. After the initial presentation of partner towns/cities and countries we had a tour around Primary school “Mirče Acev”. After the tour we collaborated in mixed groups to make our company’s logo in wood and present it to others. The following day our task was to develop our company’s business plan from the initial idea to the finished product and come up with marketing strategies. During the last workshop we were assisted by students from North Macedonia to make peace symbols and origami swans and we visited exhibition Physics and chemistry through history. Besides participating in workshops, we also visited Ohrid, an old Macedonian town. We learnt how Ohrid’s pearls are manufactured and visited Church of St. John at Kaneo which has a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding area. We got familiar with new cultures while interacting with new friends and improved English language which we used to communicate. Besides Ohrid, we also visited Matka Canyon and took a boat ride to Vrelo Cave, which is 5 000 years old. The end of this mobility was marked by a formal group dinner for all students and teachers from North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Poland and Croatia. We boarded the plane to Zagreb early in the morning on 1st April 2022. We shall keep fond memories of our friendly hosts and socializing with other participants of Erasmus+ project Entrepreneurial Child Strong Society.

Dissemination of project activities

At the Teachers' Council session on April 20, 7th grade students Tino Sekulić, Šimun Popić, Nika Perković, Mia Kaučić and Lana Gusak presented to teachers their experience of going to Macedonia as part of the "Entrepreneurial Child, Strong Society" project.

ART ON WOOD

Painting on wood is a type of art whose history dates back to second century BC, when people learned to make iron, and from it they made various knives, scrapers, saws and other cutting tools.

However, it was not enough to just cut a piece of wood, the person wanted the result of his work to look beautiful. This is how ancient paintings were created, primitive and far from artistic, but the birth of art happened.

The image on the tree has several types and they differ in belonging to a certain region, but also in style.

Today, the 1st graders were very creative and showed how they are real little artists. They painted on wood and small works of art were created.

As part of the third mobility of the "Entrepreneurial child - strong society" project, teachers Mirta Brajković, Zvonka Ivković and five students of the 7th grade of "Bogoslav Šulek" Elementary School - Ana Lukšić, Luciana Emanović, Maria Prlić, Stefan Opačak and Bruno Stanić - traveled today to Poland.

We set off at 4 in the morning in front of the "Bogoslav Šulek" Elementary School. We flew from Budapest to Krakow at 9:50 a.m. with a stopover in Warsaw. We arrived in Krakow at 2.45 pm and headed further towards our final destination, the small Polish town of Pacanow. We arrived at the hotel at 17:30 and settled into our rooms, then walked through Stopnica, where our hotel Mateo is located.

The students repeated their dance steps in a small park in the center of town and then went to sleep.

We started the second day of mobility at 9:30 a.m. when, after breakfast, we took the bus from the hotel to the school.

At the school, we were warmly greeted by all the school's students, teachers and the principal. A very interesting robotics and programming workshop followed. During that time, our teachers visited the new and modern kindergarten across the street from the school.

After the workshop, we toured the school together and then had lunch in the school canteen.

In the second part of the day, we walked through the town of Pacanow and visited the famous Fairytale Center dedicated to fairy tales. This was followed by an artistic program in which the choir, orchestra, folklore group and many others took part.

We were impressed by how the entire town got involved to warmly welcome us, so the mayor also treated us to dinner in a nearby restaurant. At 19:00 we returned to the hotel full of impressions.

The third day of mobility started with going to school at 8:30. We continued the robotics workshop from yesterday and then listened to a lecture on the development of a business idea and what is needed for successful entrepreneurship. After that, we took advantage of the nice weather and walked around the town of Pacanow. We visited the basilica of St. Martina, the city center and local souvenir shops. After lunch we headed to the Fairytale Center where we listened to an interesting workshop called Explosive Science. We discovered how to see nitrogen and oxygen and how to cook without fire. Then we visited the Fairytale Center and walked through its fairy-tale rooms. We returned back to the school where the hosts arranged a dance party for us. All participants showed a national dance, after which we all danced together and socialized. The party lasted until 19:00, after which we returned to the hotel full of experiences.

On the fourth day of mobility, we came to school at 8:30 and started an interesting game, something like "escape room". The task was to open the box using five mathematical problems.

After a short break, we went to the stadium where we played various games such as volleyball, football and hoops.

We had lunch at the school and returned to the hotel to head to the town called Busko-Zdrój, where there is a famous spa, at 4 p.m. We walked around the town and visited the famous tower in the health resort down which the salty mineral water flows. We felt relaxed sitting on the bench next to the tower and breathing in the fresh air refreshed by the drops rolling down the walls.

Dinner followed, after which we returned to the hotel.

The fifth day of mobility started a little later, so that we could pack up and leave the hotel that was our substitute home in Poland for four days.

After arriving at the school, around 10 o'clock, there was a final ceremony and distribution of certificates. Before that, we signed the signature lists and listened to the presentation of our friends from Macedonia.

With a heavy heart, we said goodbye to our hosts and sincerely thanked them for everything they gave us. Around 12 o'clock we left for Krakow, that is, the oldest salt mine in the world in Wieliczka. We descended over 100 meters underground and walked through beautiful corridors and halls. We were most impressed by the hall with huge chandeliers whose crystals are also made of salt.

After returning to the surface, we headed to Krakow. After checking into the hotel, we went for a walk. The city is beautiful, both during the day and at night. We can't wait for tomorrow to explore it even better.

On the last day of mobility, we woke up in beautiful Krakow. We spent the morning sightseeing with our friends from Turkey, Bulgaria and Macedonia.

We toured the basilica from the outside and inside, walked to the castle that towered over the Vistula River, and descended to the dragon that guards the castle and keeps fire. After the tour of the city, we said goodbye to our partners and wished each other a safe trip, and continued on our own.

In some of the numerous souvenir shops, we bought a few gifts for our loved ones. We tried the famous Polish specialty - pirogi - in a nice restaurant in the center.

Around 6 in the afternoon we took a taxi to the airport. We flew from Krakow to Budapest at 9 in the evening. Next we have a trip to Slavonski Brod and return home. Although we are tired, we are full of experiences and happy that we had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus project.

ROBOTICS

Robotics is an applied technical science which is a combination of machine and computer technology. It includes various fields such as machine design, control and regulation theory, microelectronics, computer programming, artificial intelligence, human factor and manufacturing theory. In other words, robotics is an interdisciplinary science that covers the fields of mechanics, informatics and automation.

Today, with the cooperation and a little bit of help of technical culture teacher Tanja Matanović, we made robots with our eighth graders.

Disemination of project activities

As part of the Erasmus project "Entrepreneurial child, strong society", teachers Branka Peh and Nikolina Pranjić, together with five students: Mia Kučić, Mia Maras, Lana Prša, Marija Prlić, Šimun Popić, headed to Bulgaria. The trip started on Sunday, September 25. at 9 a.m. in front of Bogoslav Šulek Primary School. The opening of the project itself was on September 26, where we participated in the presentations of teams from Poland, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey and Croatia. Then, workshops in which students, divided into mixed teams, created a logo, followed. After the workshops, we went sightseeing in Trgovišće, where we visited the museum and the first school in the area. The next day we headed to Etara, the ethnographic museum, where we could witness different old crafts, from making wooden objects to making silver jewelry. Students were divided into groups and were involved in workshops. After that, we visited Mini Bulgaria, where we saw miniatures of Bulgarian landmarks. In Veliko Tarnovo, we toured the town and visited the bazaar, after which we had free time for visiting shops and individual sightseeing. Afterwards, we went to the hotel. On Wednesday, we started the workshops at the Borovo oko excursion site, where students participated in competitive games. The words of the verses were hung on nearby trees, and the first team to put together a quote, from the given words, won. This was followed by the distribution of certificates to students, the journey to school and the ceremonial distribution of certificates to teachers. The youth society organized a dance-singing program in the concert hall as a sign of appreciation, followed by a festive dinner to which the hosts took us. We started Thursday with trips to Pliska, Madara and Veliki Preslav. Pliska is a museum located in the picturesque town also called Pliska. There we saw the letters of the alphabet in the color of bricks, which were made in Armenia displayed on the yard. Each of the letters placed on the grassy surface carries a certain message with its ornamentation. The gallery exhibits the history of the creation of the Cyrillic alphabet, as well as wax figures.

We enriched the trip with a visit to the archaeological museum in Preslav, where we saw various exhibits of the Byzantine influence on Bulgaria as well as part of the Bulgarian national treasure. After lunch we headed towards Varna. We checked into the hotel and went on a tour of this seaside town on our own. The next day, we found time between flights to round off the trip with a tour of the capital city of Sofia, which was the students’ wish. After a tour of Sofia and lunch, we headed home, where we arrived in the early evening hours.

The students of our school stayed in Turkey, the city of Adana, on the last mobility as part of this project. On the first day, they were greeted by a warm welcome from the hosts, and after getting to know their new friends, their educational system and visiting their classes, they diligently set about making stone chips.

Two new workshops followed on the second day. Bottle painting at school and robotics at the science center. The workshops were followed by a visit to the Archaeological Museum and the old part of the city.

On the third day of mobility, we headed to Cappadocia, a famous tourist destination. We had the opportunity to participate in a ceramics workshop. We also visited one of the seventeen underground cities.

On the fourth day, we visited the attractive Jurassic Park, the famous lake in Adana, and had the opportunity to learn more about the work and activities of the Museum of Science and Art, where exceptionally gifted students have the opportunity to be employed.

In the evening, there was a festive dinner with all our friends and the awarding of certificates.
